This Unqualified Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone wanting to get into education, support work, youth work, or SEN environments. As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting students in the classroom, helping with behaviour, engagement, communication, and day-to-day learning.

Most Unqualified Teaching Assistant placements will be within SEN schools, supporting students with additional needs such as ASC, SEMH, communication needs, and challenging behaviour. You do not need formal qualifications to become an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, the schools are looking for people with patience, good energy, and the willingness to learn.

Whether you’ve worked in care, coaching, customer service, youth work, or simply want to start your career as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, this could be a great opportunity to gain school-based experience.

We’re looking for an Unqualified Teaching Assistant who:

• Is calm, reliable, and approachable
• Is open to supporting students with additional needs
• Wants to gain experience within schools
• Can build positive relationships with students and staff
• Works well as part of a team
• Is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS if needed
