About the Role
This role is ideal for experienced Youth Workers looking to transfer their skills into education or those seeking flexible work that fits around existing commitments.
As a Youth Worker, you will:
- Support students' wellbeing, engagement, and personal development.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
- Provide mentoring and pastoral support to help students achieve their potential.
- Help students overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.
- Support positive behaviour management strategies throughout the school day.
- Work with students both inside and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Your experience in youth work will equip you with many of the skills schools value, including excellent communication, resilience, relationship building, conflict resolution, and the ability to motivate and inspire young people.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience working with children or young people in a youth work, mentoring, support, coaching, or community setting.
- Confidence supporting young people from a range of backgrounds and with varying needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships and inspire confidence.
- A professional, reliable, and enthusiastic approach.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- The Right to Work in the UK.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, and qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is previous experience working with children or young people.
