Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary Schools
Vision for Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students in secondary schools across Bristol. The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to secondary-aged students with additional learning needs.
- Help students access lessons and complete set tasks.
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to follow support plans.
- Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will:
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or SEN support staff.
- Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.
- Be confident working on a 1:1 basis.
- Be patient, resilient and adaptable.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
