We are seeking a skilled Careers Lead to develop a high-quality careers programme that prepares autistic young people for successful transitions into further education, employment and independent adulthood.

The School and Role

This welcoming specialist school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Careers Lead to develop and deliver an inspiring careers programme for autistic students aged 11–19. Working closely with pupils, families, employers and education providers, you will support students to make informed choices about their future. The school has around 180 pupils, is a UNICEF Gold Rights Respecting School, and is committed to preparing every learner for adulthood through a personalised and inclusive approach.


Requirements

The desired Careers Lead will have;

  • Experience delivering careers education, guidance or employability programmes
  • Knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks and careers guidance for young people with SEND
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building skills
  • A passion for supporting young people to achieve positive post-16 and post-19 outcomes
