EYFS / Nursery Teaching Assistant – Stoke-on-Trent & North Staffordshire
Vision for Education are seeking caring and enthusiastic EYFS / Nursery Teaching Assistants to support children across primary schools, nurseries, and early years settings in Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stone, and the Staffordshire Moorlands. About the Role
As an EYFS / Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support children within Nursery, Reception, and Early Years settings in line with the EYFS framework.
- Work closely with class teachers, room leaders, and early years staff to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help children develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence through play-based learning.
- Assist with preparing resources and delivering age-appropriate activities.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are consistently met.
This role offers flexibility, with day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities available on both full-time and part-time bases from September 2026.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of EYFS / Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification, NNEB, or another recognised Early Years qualification. (Unqualified applicants with strong relevant experience may also be considered for some roles.)
- Have experience working within a nursery, preschool, or primary school Early Years setting.
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Be confident supporting children's learning, development, and behaviour.
- Possess a DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
- Be patient, caring, reliable, and passionate about helping young children flourish.
