The School and Role
A welcoming primary school in the Darlington (DL3) area is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Teacher to join their team from September 2026 until December 2026.
This is a part-time position, working 2–3 days per week, providing PPA cover across the primary age range. The successful candidate will deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of year groups, ensuring continuity of learning while class teachers undertake their Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time.
This supportive and inclusive school is committed to providing high-quality education for all pupils and is looking for a flexible and adaptable teacher who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Working alongside an experienced team, the desired teacher will create engaging learning experiences, maintain high standards of behaviour, and ensure pupils remain motivated and supported throughout their lessons.
Requirements
The desired PPA Teacher will have:
- PGCE with QTS.
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
- The confidence to teach across a range of year groups from EYFS to Key Stage 2.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
- A positive and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
