PPA Teacher – Part Time – October 2026
DL12 Area – £121.50 to £150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated PPA Teacher to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the DL12 area.
This is a part-time PPA cover role, offering the opportunity to work across different year groups within the primary school. The successful candidate will be adaptable and confident in delivering engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons while providing consistent and high-quality cover for teachers undertaking their planning, preparation, and assessment time.
The role will commence in October 2026.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching across the primary age range would be advantageous.
The Role
Working as part of a supportive and experienced teaching team, the desired PPA Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across a range of primary year groups.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing high-quality PPA cover across different year groups.
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Following existing planning and adapting activities where appropriate to meet pupils' needs.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Maintaining high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour, and engagement.
- Managing behaviour effectively using positive and consistent strategies.
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
- Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assessing pupils' understanding and providing appropriate feedback.
- Working collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, and the wider school team.
- Contributing positively to the wider life of the school community.
The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable, and confident, with the ability to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and adapt to different year groups and classroom environments.

Requirements
To be considered for the PPA Teacher position, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience teaching within a primary school setting.
- Have experience teaching across the primary age range.
- Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Be confident planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Be able to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Have high expectations of pupils' achievement and development.
- Have a genuine passion for primary teaching and learning.
- Be flexible, reliable, and confident working across different year groups.
- Be available to work on a part-time basis.
