Vision for Education is currently recruiting School Administrators to work across a range of schools in Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for organised, professional and approachable individuals who can provide effective administrative support and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of a busy school office.
The Role
As a School Administrator, you may be responsible for:
- Acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors
- Managing incoming telephone calls and emails
- Providing general administrative support to the school office
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and school databases
- Supporting attendance and admissions processes
- Updating and maintaining school management information systems
- Preparing documents, letters and correspondence
- Managing filing, records and general office administration
- Supporting school staff and senior leaders as required
- Ensuring the reception area is welcoming, professional and well organised
- Handling confidential information appropriately
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within a school or education setting
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A professional and approachable manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Office
- Experience using school systems such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar would be advantageous
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider school team
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment
Previous school office experience is desirable, but we will also consider candidates with strong transferable administration experience.
