  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised support plans.
  • Help pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, speech and language needs, and EHCP-funded support.
  • Promote engagement, independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  • Provide personal or intimate care where required (not all roles require this).

This role offers flexibility, with day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities available on both full-time and part-time bases from September 2026.

  • Collaborative staff teams where Teaching Assistants are highly valued.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEN / 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs in a school, nursery, care, or similar setting.
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or demonstrate strong relevant experience.
  • Be patient, resilient, and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
  • Be comfortable supporting personal or intimate care where required.
  • Possess a DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Have recent, referenceable experience working with children.

Salary & Benefits

Salary is dependent on experience, training, and qualifications. As a valued member of Vision for Education, you will receive:

  • Competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE.
  • Guaranteed Pay Scheme (subject to criteria).
  • Pension contributions after a qualifying period.
  • Full compliance with AWR (Agency Workers' Regulations).
