Location: Benfleet, Essex
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by negotiation)
Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Benfleet.
Are you a passionate and adaptable teacher with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to provide high-quality teaching and learning for students with a range of additional needs, helping them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
- Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor pupil progress.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
- Promote pupil wellbeing, independence, and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and assessments.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, either within a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- A patient, flexible, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
