Chigwell, Essex
Full-time | September Start (or ASAP)
Competitive Daily Rate | PAYE

Vision for Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Chigwell, who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Reception.

This rewarding role involves supporting a pupil with high-needs autism who is non-verbal. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child access learning, develop communication skills, and build positive relationships within the school environment.

The Role

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Reception-aged pupil with complex additional needs.
  • Supporting the child's learning, communication and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

  • Using a calm, patient and nurturing approach to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence while supporting the child's individual needs.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex or high-needs SEN.
  • Have experience working with non-verbal children or using alternative communication strategies (desirable).
  • Be patient, resilient and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Be confident working on a 1:1 basis and following individual support plans.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as driving is essential for this role.
  • Have, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

What Vision for Education Offers

  • Competitive daily pay rates paid weekly via PAYE.
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
  • Access to free CPD and specialist SEND training.
  • Opportunities for long-term and permanent positions.
  • A rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey.

If you have the experience, patience and commitment to support a young child with complex SEN needs, we'd love to hear from you.
