About the Role

Vision for Education are delighted to be working in partnership with Chigwell Primary School to recruit a dedicated and caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with their learning, development and wellbeing.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide tailored, one-to-one support both inside and outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day.
• Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and development.
• Help the pupil access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.
• Build a positive, trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals where appropriate.
• Assist with classroom activities and provide support to the wider class when required.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Monitor and communicate the pupil's progress and any concerns to the appropriate staff.

The successful candidate will be:

• Caring, patient and compassionate.
• Enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their individual needs.
• Confident in building positive relationships with pupils.
• Calm, resilient and able to remain professional in challenging situations.
• A strong communicator and team player.
• Able to follow individual support plans and adapt their approach to meet the pupil's needs.
• Experienced working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable, but not essential.
