About the Role

Working in partnership with Northern Lights Learning Trust, Vision for Education are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a number of primary schools in the Darlington area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are flexible, committed, and passionate about supporting young learners across a variety of school settings. You will have the chance to work within supportive school environments, helping pupils to achieve their full potential while assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
• Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Assist with classroom preparation, organisation, and learning resources
• Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupil engagement
• Work collaboratively with teachers, school staff, and parents where appropriate

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for education and supporting young people
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to supporting learning
