Vision for Education is looking to appoint a part-time Y3/4 Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply team and work within a welcoming primary school in the DL2 area.

This is a part-time role, working during school hours on agreed days each week. The successful candidate will provide classroom support within a mixed Year 3/4 class, working closely with the class teacher to support pupils' learning, development, and wellbeing.

The role will commence in September 2026 and is ongoing, with the potential to become long-term depending on the needs of the school.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is a Level 3 qualification or above in Teaching and Supporting Learning. Previous experience working within a primary setting is essential.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive and enthusiastic teaching team, the desired Teaching Assistant will provide high-quality support within a busy Year 3/4 classroom.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting pupils during whole-class lessons and small group activities.
• Working with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and promote progress.
• Supporting the delivery of the Key Stage 2 curriculum across a range of subjects.
• Assisting pupils with literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum activities.
• Helping to prepare engaging learning resources and classroom materials.
• Supporting pupils' personal, social, and emotional development.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

The successful candidate will be proactive, caring, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

Requirements

To be considered for the Y3/4 Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
• Have experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed and supportive school team.
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Demonstrate a positive, nurturing, and flexible approach to supporting children's learning.
