About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated graduates to work as Graduate Teaching Assistants across a range of welcoming primary schools throughout Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are considering a future career in teaching and would like to gain valuable classroom experience.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery

Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning

Provide additional support to pupils who may need help with literacy, numeracy, or behaviour

Assist in preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment

Encourage pupil confidence, participation, and engagement in lessons

Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) where required
Requirements

A university degree (any subject)

A strong interest in education and working with young people

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A proactive, positive, and supportive attitude

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
