The Role

As a Trainee Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging classroom activities.
  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Encourage children's confidence, independence and participation.
  • Help prepare learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Support pupils with a range of learning needs.
  • Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Are patient, caring and enthusiastic.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Are reliable, adaptable and eager to learn.
  • Have transferable experience from roles such as customer service, childcare, coaching, youth work or care (desirable but not essential).
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
