Essex | SEND Outreach

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their goals? Do you have experience working within SEND and the dedication to make a genuine difference to someone's life?

I’m currently looking to connect with experienced, caring and dedicated 1:1 Outreach Support Workers to support young people aged 16–25 across Essex!

These roles are all about providing support that is completely tailored to the individual student. Every young person has different needs, abilities, interests and aspirations, so the support provided will be adapted to help them develop at their own pace and work towards their personal goals.

✨ What could the role involve?

Providing dedicated 1:1 support based on the individual student's needs and abilities.

Developing personalised approaches to help each young person engage and participate.

Building positive, trusting relationships and providing consistent support.

Encouraging learning, personal development and the development of life skills.

Supporting communication, confidence, social skills and independence.

Supporting young people to access activities and experiences within the community, including travelling to different locations.

Helping individuals work towards their own goals and prepare for greater independence into adulthood.

Who am I looking for?

✅ Previous experience working within a SEND setting is essential.

✅ Experience supporting young people with additional needs, ideally aged 16–25.

✅ Patient, caring and empathetic individuals.

✅ Strong understanding of individual needs and the importance of tailored support.

✅ Confident working independently and building positive relationships on a 1:1 basis.

✅ Must be a driver with access to their own vehicle, as travel between locations will be required.

✅ Reliable, proactive and flexible professionals who are passionate about supporting young people.
