Vision for Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Bristol who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and providing personalised support to help them thrive.

The role is ideal for a passionate and patient Teaching Assistant who wants to make a positive impact within a primary setting.

The role

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual pupil, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop confidence and engage positively within the classroom.

You will work alongside the class teacher and wider support team to support the pupil’s academic, social and emotional development. This may include supporting learning activities, encouraging independence, managing behaviour where needed and helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The role offers full-time hours during school term time, working approximately 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position within the school.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you'll:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people.
• Ideally have experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
• Be confident building positive relationships with pupils.
• Be patient, reliable and committed to supporting individual needs.
• Have a passion for helping children achieve their potential.
• Hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Be able to provide suitable references.
