About the Autism Support Assistant Role
As an Autism Support Assistant, you will support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs, helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence
- Supporting communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Promoting positive behaviour throughout the school day
- Working closely with teachers and SEND staff

What we're looking for:
- Passion for supporting children and young people with Autism
- Patient, resilient, and positive approach
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in education, care, youth work, or support work is beneficial but not essential
