Location: Wotton-under-Edge & surrounding area
Salary: £14.24 p/h – higher rates available depending on experience/qualifications
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time available

Vision for Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive school in the Wotton-under-Edge area, looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. This Behaviour Mentor role is a great opportunity to support pupils in a structured and positive learning environment while gaining valuable classroom experience.

We are looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor who can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour, helping pupils stay engaged and confident throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor

  • Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development
  • Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities

The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
  • A patient, positive and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting behaviour and learning needs
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Relevant qualifications (desirable)
