About the role
Year 6 Teacher – Full Time – September 2026 – April 2027
Middlesbrough (TS5) – £121.50 to £150 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join our successful supply team and work within a large and welcoming primary school in the TS5 area of Middlesbrough.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday during school hours. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 6 class, delivering engaging and creative lessons that support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.
The role will commence in September 2026 and continue until April 2027.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position is Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6, would be advantageous.
The Role
Working as part of a supportive and experienced teaching team, the desired Year 6 Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning opportunities for pupils.
Responsibilities may include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Preparing pupils for end-of-Key Stage 2 assessments while maintaining an enjoyable and balanced curriculum.
- Creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil progress.
- Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all learners.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting high expectations.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies where required.
- Supporting pupils' personal, social, and emotional development.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school community.

Requirements
To be considered for the Year 6 Teacher position, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

- Be confident in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Have high expectations of pupils' achievement and progress.
- Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Have a genuine passion for teaching and learning.
