Location: North Staffordshire (Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stafford)
Salary: £92.56–£110 per day (PAYE)
Vision for Education is working in partnership with a number of primary schools across North Staffordshire that are now finalising their SEN provision for September 2026.
We are recruiting compassionate, resilient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in both mainstream primary schools and specialist resource provisions. Opportunities include long-term, full-time placements as well as flexible day-to-day supply work.
The Role
Available opportunities include:

Long-term 1:1 support for pupils with EHCPs

Small-group intervention work
-
SEN resource base placements

Mainstream primary classroom support

Day-to-day supply from the beginning of the autumn term
Successful candidates will support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning while promoting confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE, NCFE or equivalent (desirable but not essential)

Experience supporting children in a classroom, 1:1 or small-group setting

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Strong behaviour management and communication skills
-
A calm, patient and nurturing approach
