Are you an experienced LSA looking for a rewarding new opportunity?

Vision for Education are working with a specialist school in South Bristol who are looking for dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their team. The school supports pupils with complex Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), additional learning needs and challenging behaviours.

The role

As an LSA, you will work closely with pupils throughout the school day, providing support with learning, communication, emotional regulation and personal development.

You will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them engage with activities, develop independence and feel safe and supported within the school environment.

The ideal LSA will be calm, patient and resilient, with experience supporting ASC, complex needs or challenging behaviour. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to provide consistent and individualised support.

Requirements

To be considered for this LSA role, you'll:

  • Have previous experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals.
  • Ideally have experience supporting ASC, complex needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Be confident building trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Have a patient, consistent and positive approach.
  • Be comfortable supporting pupils with a range of individual needs.
  • Hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Be able to provide suitable references.

What we offer

  • Competitive daily rates, paid via PAYE.
  • Full-time hours during term time.
  • The opportunity to secure a permanent role.
  • Free online CPD and specialist SEND training.
  • Ongoing support from your dedicated consultant.
  • £125 Refer a Friend bonus.
  • Pension contributions.

Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS and referencing checks.

If you are an experienced LSA looking to make a real difference supporting pupils with complex needs, we'd love to hear from you.
