About the role

Trainee Learning Support Assistant - No Experience Needed!

Coleford, Gloucestershire | £475 per week | PAYE

Monday- Friday | November Start | Full-Time Opportunity

Looking for a job where you can genuinely make a difference?

Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic and caring people to join a lovely specialist school in Coleford this November.

You'll be supporting children and young people with severe learning difficulties, helping them develop new skills, build confidence and become more independent.

The best part? You don't need any previous experience in a school or SEN setting.

We're looking for people with the right attitude, a bit of patience and a genuine interest in helping others. Whether you're looking for a change of career, your first step into education or simply a role that offers something more rewarding, we'd love to hear from you.

What can we offer you?

  • £475 per week, paid through PAYE.

  • Consistent, full-time work, Monday to Friday.

  • Access to training courses to help you get started in education.

  • Ongoing guidance and support from experienced staff.

  • Opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.

  • A friendly, welcoming school environment.

  • Staff socials and team events.

  • The chance to build a long-term career working with children and young people.

What will the role involve?

  • Providing support to pupils with severe learning difficulties and additional needs.

  • Helping children engage with classroom activities and lessons.

  • Supporting communication, social skills and personal development.

  • Encouraging pupils to become more confident and independent.

  • Building positive relationships and getting to know each child's individual needs.

  • Working closely with teachers and other support staff.

No two days will be quite the same, and there will be plenty to learn along the way. It's a rewarding role where the little things really do matter.

What makes a good candidate?

You don't need a list of qualifications or years of experience. We're much more interested in finding people who are:

  • Positive and enthusiastic - ready to learn and give something new a go.

  • Patient and understanding - able to recognise that every child is different.

  • Reliable and dependable - someone the school and pupils can count on.

  • Proactive and adaptable - happy to get involved and take guidance.

  • Caring and approachable - able to build positive relationships.

  • Committed - keen to make a difference and develop within the role.

Previous experience in care, childcare, coaching, youth work or similar environments is beneficial, but certainly not essential.

We'll help you build the experience and knowledge you need. What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn.

You'll need the Right to Work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS, or be happy to apply for one.

Interested? Let's get you started!

If you've been thinking about getting into education but haven't had the opportunity or experience to take that first step, this could be a great place to start.

Join a supportive school, learn from experienced colleagues and develop skills that could take you a long way.

Apply today with your CV or get in touch with Vision for Education to find out more about our November Trainee Learning Support Assistant opportunities in Coleford.
