Part time primary teachers wanted for regular PPA cover in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove and north Stoke. Two or three fixed days a week, EYFS to KS2, with no planning or reports. £260 to £480 a week, paid weekly.
About the role
Part-Time Primary Teacher – PPA Cover – Newcastle-under-Lyme
2 or 3 Days per Week | Regular Weekly Work | Flexible Teaching Opportunities
£260–£480 per week (£130–£160 per day) | Weekly Pay | No Planning, No Reports
Two or three days a week in the classroom, and the rest of the week is yours. Could that be you?
At Vision for Education, we're working with primary schools across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove and North Stoke looking for reliable, enthusiastic teachers to provide regular Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) cover.
These opportunities offer the chance to teach the same classes, on the same days, at the same school each week, providing consistency for both you and the children.
You'll deliver lessons while the class teacher has their allocated planning time, with work typically prepared for you.
No planning to write. No reports. No parents' evenings.
If you love being in the classroom but don't miss the additional workload of a full-time teaching position, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What Does the Role Involve?
-
Regular PPA cover on fixed days, often teaching the same classes each week.
-
Delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as PE, Music, RE, Art, Computing and Modern Foreign Languages.
-
Teaching pre-planned lessons and following the school's existing curriculum.
-
Opportunities across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
-
Building positive relationships with pupils and staff through consistent weekly placements.
-
The option to accept additional day-to-day supply work on your available days.
Whether you prefer KS1, KS2 or teaching a particular subject, we'll aim to match you with schools and opportunities that suit your experience.
Who Is This Role Suitable For?
We welcome applications from:
-
Teachers returning to the classroom who want to ease back into teaching.
-
Experienced teachers looking to reduce their working week.
-
Parents wanting flexible teaching opportunities around family commitments.
-
Teachers with a passion or specialism in PE, Music, Languages, Computing or other curriculum subjects.
-
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking for part-time teaching experience.
-
Qualified teachers who want to continue teaching without the responsibilities of a full-time class teacher.
Whether you're looking for two days a week or three, we'd love to hear from you!

Why Consistency Matters
PPA cover works best when children see a familiar face each week.
Schools value teachers who build relationships with pupils, understand classroom routines and deliver engaging lessons consistently.
Many of our PPA teachers secure regular weekly bookings throughout the academic year, with some schools requesting the same teachers again the following September.
Our aim is simple: help you enjoy teaching while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Have a particular subject you love teaching?
