About the Role
Vision for Education are looking to recruit an experienced and suitably qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within an Early Years Foundation Stage setting in the TS12 area, starting from November 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EYFS professional who is passionate about supporting young children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide high-quality support in a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging early years environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate EYFS activities.
- Provide targeted support to individual children and small groups.
- Support children's communication, language, literacy, numeracy, physical, and personal development.
- Support learning through play-based activities and continuous provision.
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Encourage children's confidence, independence, and social development.
- Promote positive behaviour and help children develop appropriate routines.
- Support children with additional needs where required.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to support children's progress.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as an EYFS Teaching Assistant is essential.
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential, such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, NCFE CACHE Level 3, or an equivalent recognised EYFS qualification.
- A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Experience supporting children's learning and development in an early years or primary setting.
- A caring, patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with young children.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's early development.
- Availability to work part-time from November 2026.
